The First Ever 2024 Lexus TX (Videos) Boasting Zero Comprises on Everyman Driver

The 2024 Lexus TX, a first-ever three-row SUV designed for North American customers, offers substantial space and seating without compromising technology, performance, and luxury. With two electrified powertrain options, the TX aims to provide a comfortable yet dynamic ride for up to seven passengers. The five available grades are Standard, Premium, Luxury, F SPORT Performance Premium, and F SPORT Performance Luxury, expanding Lexus’s SUV lineup to seven vehicles.

Built on the GA-K platform shared with the RX and NX, the TX prioritizes driving dynamics, comfort, and reduced noise vibration. The Lexus Driving Signature (LDS) philosophy ensures predictable, linear responses, blending luxury and performance. To enhance ride comfort and quietness while minimizing weight increase, the TX’s body rigidity was strengthened with body adhesives, short pitch spot welding, and other enhancements. The powertrain options include a 2.4L turbocharged inline-4, a 2.4L turbocharged hybrid, and a 3.5L V6 plug-in hybrid, all capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds.

The TX 500h and TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid models contribute to Lexus’s environmental goals, offering impressive power and efficiency. The 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 engine delivers 275 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque, aided by advanced technologies for dynamic performance. An eight-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission and electronically controlled AWD system enhance driving control. The TX 350, 500h, and 550h+ cater to different performance preferences.

The TX’s exterior features a redefined front fascia, optimizing aerodynamic performance and stability. It offers 20-inch wheels, with 22-inch wheels available for specific grades. Inside, the cabin is designed for a serene and comfortable atmosphere, with multiple seat configurations and extensive storage options. Depending on the grade, the second row offers captain’s chairs or a split-folding bench, while the third row provides accessibility and comfort.

A 14-inch high-definition touchscreen provides easy-to-use controls, and the TX comes with multiple USB ports and power outlets for device charging. The TX’s utility extends to its cargo space, with up to 97 cubic feet available when the second and third rows are folded down.

The 2024 Lexus TX aims to meet the diverse needs of customers while offering a blend of luxury, performance, and spaciousness, further expanding Lexus’s SUV lineup and catering to North American preferences.
