Produced with more than seven decades of 4×4 engineering experience, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler remains an iconic and highly capable off-roader, for now. The new Ford Bronco could be next in line. We’ll save that discussion for a later date.
The Wrangler continues to offer a body-on-frame design, front and rear five-link suspension system, solid axles, electronic lockers, and is one of the few SUVs to offer a six-speed manual transmission in addition to its available eight-speed automatic. Every Jeep Wrangler also sports the highly coveted Trail Rated badge. To earn it, the vehicle must be capable of passing a number of grueling tests to prove its ability to withstand tough terrain, harsh conditions, and inclement weather!
The Wrangler’s powertrain lineup was updated for 2020. There’s now a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 as an option, which produces 260 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque. It is a “late availability” powertrain, though, which means it should arrive more toward the tail end of the 2020 model year.
The 2020 Jeep Wrangler has a fun design. It comes in two-door and four-door body styles. There are a number of different models to choose from, and several different engine options.
SUVs.com test drove a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with the Sky One-Touch Power Top. There’s also other tops to choose from, but the one-touch function is amazing and helps instantly deliver than open-air feel.
