My name is Dave Erickson.  I’m a husband, father of two and obviously the creator and founder of Everyman Driver.   In addition to being an Automotive Journalist and member of the Northwest Automotive Press Association, I’m a multimedia producer, videographer and editor.

Before I started reporting on cars and trucks for a living, I spent 15 years working as a local TV News Anchor and Reporter.   I’ve invested the better part of my adult life traveling the country and the globe reporting on everything from city council meetings to the war on terrorism in Iraq.  I’ve since discovered the world of Automotive Journalism and I love it!

My goal with EMD is to give viewers a real world, practical driving impression without talking over their head.  I don’t claim to know everything about cars and trucks but I do promise to give my viewers an honest and constructive critique from an everyman driver’s point of view.

I’ve also worked as the exclusive “On Assignment” Ironman Triathlon reporter for the World Triathlon Corporation and produced Instructional Videos for Timex Group USA plus have freelanced as media consultant.  In addition to covering the sport of Ironman Triathlon, I’m also a 5x Ironman finisher.  I graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Social Sciences.
