2020 Cadillac CT4: Latest Attempt at a Sports Sedan on Everyman Driver

With classic rear-wheel-drive architecture, optional all-wheel drive and competitive turbocharged power, the CT4 has strong sport sedan fundamentals. On curving roads, Edmunds says the CT4 feels quick and agile, with responsive steering and a ride that balances comfort and sport. Midcorner bumps and other imperfections are smoothed out, though the ride can be slightly bouncy over big bumps on straight roads. The CT4’s brakes feel firm and powerful, further cementing the sport sedan feel.

MSRP Starting at$32,995

According to Sofyan Bey, Cadillac hasn’t had the best track record when it comes to a small sport sedan. However, that all changed with the incredibly fun-to-drive ATS back in 2013. Unfortunately, it didn’t sell quite as well as Caddy hoped which is why they decided to replace it with the all-new 2020 Cadillac CT4 this year. Built on the same alpha platform as the ATS, the CT4 is slightly longer and more refined. At the same time, Cadillac decided to replace the old V6 with a new 450T trim which is powered by a 2.7L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, while the CT4V makes its return but with significantly less power than the old ATSV, for now.
