Grades are in and the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid earned straight A’s in the Cars.com “2017 Car Seat Check Honor Roll.” Cars.com tested 65 model year 2017 and 2018 vehicles with only those scoring an “A” grade in each of the applicable six criteria being included on the list.
Child Passenger Safety Week begins on Sept. 17 and is designed to educate parents and caretakers about the importance of car-seat safety. At Cars.com, they have three certified child passenger safety technicians who install and write their Car Seat Checks. At these checks, they investigate a car’s Latch system, which is supposed to make car-seat installation easier but sometimes doesn’t, as well as how four different car seats fit into a vehicle.
Their Honor Roll recognizes the cars they’ve tested during the last year that have ample room for at least two car seats and have Latch anchors that make car-seat installation easier. They can be found here.
The 2017 Accord Hybrid was one of only 10 to earn the required grades.
