For the 2014 model year, Mitsubishi Motors’ breakthrough 100% electric-powered production vehicle model – the Mitsubishi i-MiEV – not only receives a generous expansion of its standard equipment features but also receives a substantial price cut, making this eco-friendly and fun-to-drive runabout perhaps the most compelling mass-produced electric vehicle value in America today.
The 2014 model year Mitsubishi i-MiEV ES model including DC quick charge port, battery warming system and heated side view mirrors now starts at only $22,995 – a substantial $6,130 price reduction from the previous generation. After factoring in the Federal tax credit of $7,500, the net MSRP of the 2014 Mitsubishi i-MiEV drops down to only $15,495.
So, the i-Miev is economical but how fast can it go 0-60 mph? We’ve seen some estimates in the 14.5 to 15 seconds range So we decided to test it for ourselves. We drove 5 times 0-60 mph to get an average. Check it out below.
